BLOCK THE BOMBS TO ISRAEL
National Days of Action
August through September 2025
Culminating in the UN International Day of Peace, September 21
The National Days of Action to Block the Bombs to Israel builds on escalating pressure this summer, from No Kings Day and Good Trouble Lives On actions, emergency protests against the illegal Israeli and US bombings of Iran, ongoing actions to end the genocide in Gaza, and bird-dogging members of Congress over the August recess. The summer/fall grassroots organizing toolkit should be of use throughout and will be updated as we solidify events for Block the Bombs to Israel National Days of Action.
National Days of Action to Block the Bombs to Israel include:
- Demonstrations or advocacy visits at congressional offices, which can include bird-dogging your representatives – here is a recording of our recent training on this tactic, with passcode: 6$eb@rs8
- Online webinars or in-person teach-ins on the need to Block the Bombs to Israel (as embodied in HR 3565, perhaps on college campuses in conjunction with student groups
- Demonstrations at weapons contractors, companies, and banks profiting from war and genocide
- Continued online actions to support HR 3565, and perhaps a Senate companion bill
- Support for other priority legislation, such as Joint Resolutions of Disapproval
- Coalition letters to Members of Congress asking for cosponsors of HR 3565
- Challenges to incumbents and candidates for Congress in the midterms to pledge to Block the Bombs to Israel (for organizations that can legally engage in such activity). Here are Peace Action’s current pro-peace endorsed candidates
- Incorporate already existing weekly or monthly local protests
- Other events TBA
