Reject AIPAC
Peace Action needs your help in a grassroots effort to challenge one of the most reactionary forces in the U.S. on issues of war and peace: the pro-war lobby group AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee).
We’re going to need YOU to join us in a massive opposition to this reactionary force. AIPAC and their Super PAC are threatening to spend $100 million against ceasefire-supporting members of Congress this election cycle in an attempt to unseat progressive, pro-peace members like the Squad — and they’re doing it through millions in contributions from Republican billionaires, corporate interests, and many of Donald Trump’s biggest donors.
Peace Action is teaming up with a broad coalition of progressive organizations to urgently fight back: will you join the fight to get elected officials to reject AIPAC now?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a Congressional office and a Congress member or their staff has said “AIPAC was just in here making the opposite arguments.” This has been true from AIPAC’s support for the Iraq war, to nuclear diplomacy with Iran, to the war in Gaza. But while their pro-war, anti-Palestinian arguments are flimsy, they are always backed by mountains of campaign cash.
AIPAC will spend tens of millions this year and 9 of the top 10 donors funding AIPAC’s Super PAC are Trump megadonors and Republican billionaires. AIPAC’s Super PAC spends its cash overwhelmingly against Black and brown progressives who support a permanent ceasefire in Gaza to stop the Israeli military’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
Now is the time for all of us to ask Democrats to Reject AIPAC once and for all: if you agree, add your name to strengthen our call today!
This year, AIPAC is trying to tighten its grip on Congress and U.S. foreign policy by aiming for the very most pro-peace members of Congress. They want to take out some of the staunchest pro-peace voices we have like Peace Action endorsed incumbents Reps Jammal Bowman, Summer Lee, and Cori Bush. We need to have their backs. We can do that by taking the fight directly to AIPAC and helping make AIPAC’s brand as toxic as their reactionary politics are.
