Peace Action Condemns Russia’s Invasion Into Ukraine

Washington, D.C. — February 24, 2022
Peace Action released the following statement in response to major Russian military incursions in Ukraine.

“Peace Action strongly condemns Russia’s violent military aggression against Ukraine. We call for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, the withdrawal of all troops, and a return as soon as possible to diplomatic negotiations.”

“More so, our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people at this time. As is always the case with war, it will be innocent civilians who bear the brunt of this violent tragedy and suffer the most. Going forward there will likely be a devastating humanitarian and displacement crisis. the U.S. should contribute generously to humanitarian aid programs to support displaced persons and other victims of this war.”
