I spoke to Ryan in Congressman Arcuri’s Washington Office, on behalf of my wife and myself. I told him that there should be NO additional funds appropriated for the Iraq War — for any reason. I also told him that Congressman Arcuri MUST pass that message along to the House leadership who met behind closed doors two nights ago to make this decision.

I reminded him that in 2006 the American people sent a very clear message to Congress:
“End the war now, and bring our troops home!” and that we continued to spend money and lose American lives EVERY day since.

I again told him that we must immediately stop funding Bush’s “War” and begin troop withdrawals.

He agreed to pass along my message, and said that the Congressman was against continuing the war in Iraq.

I talked to Rep. Norton from the District of Columbia and she said she supported what we are working for. She is pained that she doesn’t have a vote in the general assembly to cast against this supplemental. Give DC voting rights NOW! No Taxation Without Representation!
